WebSep 21, 2024 · A Colorado man died over the weekend near the summit of Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Russell Jacobs, 25, of Westminster, found himself lost and trapped by inclement weather on the 14er late on Friday afternoon. Unprepared for the harsh weather, Jacobs called a friend to report he was in trouble.
