WebJan 4, 2024 · Broomcorn millet is an allotetraploid (2n = 4× = 36; genome size of ∼900 Mb), and its reference genome has been published ( Shi et al., 2024; Zou et al., 2024). Reference genomes of barnyard millets are still lacking; however, we have sequenced their wild relatives (two important agricultural weed species: E. crus-galli and E. oryzicola).
